Welcome!
This old log has been here
for a time, but it is
still solid. Have a seat.
Rest a spell. This is a wonderful
place to think. Listen to the
birds. Hear the wind sing through the trees.
A squirrel plays nearby, but he will not distrub you.
A baby fawn sleeps in the sun.
You can feel the presence of the Lord.
How loving to give us so much. Such a beautiful place.
All is well at the Log.

Some things to ponder on.....

Every sunrise is God's greeting:
the sunset is His signature

The great baseball player, Babe Ruth, hit 714 home runs, but did you know that he also struck out over 1,500 times? So when you are down, get up! Keep going! A home run might be just around the corner!

It is a wise thing for parents to remember......that one day your children will follow your example instead of your advice.

ASSURED
We are so rich as a child of God.  There are many things that we can be assured of.
1. We can be assured of our salvation.  I John 5:13 tells us, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
2. We can be assured that God hears our prayer.  What great comfort this is.  I John 5:14 tells us, "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us."
3. We can have the assurance that He will forgive us when we confess our sin.  I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
4. We can have the assurance that we can have victory over our sins.  I Corinthians 10:13 tells us, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
5. We have the assurance that God is always in control.  Now, what great news this is.  Praise God!  Romans 8:28 tells us, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
Yes, what great assurances we have as God's children.  But, remember, these are the assurances of God's children, not those that have never received the Lord as Saviour.  Do you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour?  If not, right now repent of your sins and invite Him into your heart.  Receive Him as Saviour and make Him Lord of your life.

The breath of God's love reaches around the world.

God loves the people of
every nation, of
every race,
all
the
world.
Oh, the breath of God's love.

The length of God's love is never ending.
Often our love goes to a certain place and we
cut it off, but God's love just keeps on going.
It is more than we can ever comprehend.

The height of God's love,
it goes
beyond
the highest star!!!!!

Oh, what love.........This love of God!

Two children were playing one day when one turned and asked the other, "Wouldn't you hate to wear spectacles all the time?"
"Oh, no-o," came the answer of her little playmate, "not if I had my Grandma's kind. You see, she sees how to fix a lot of things, and sees a lot of things to do on rainy days; she sees when folks are really tired and worried, and she always sees what will make them feel lots better.

"And she always sees what you meant to do, even if you don't do things just right. I asked her one day how she could see that way all the time, and she said it was the way she has learned to look at things as she grew older. So, it must be her spectacles!"

Did you know that yo-yo's were once used as deadly weapons? That's right. Tribes in the Philippines used them as weapons many hundreds of years before they would become used as popular toys.

Oh, the greatness of God. Can you even imagine the number of snowflakes that have fallen to earth, yet no two are alike! But, then, no two people are alike either! So you see, you ARE A VERY SPECIAL PERSON!

UMBRELLAS IN THE RAIN

by Gene Minix

I gaze out across a sea of umbrellas.
Multi-colored in the falling rain.
And I wonder at those under them.
Are they happy, are some in pain?

Are there people just in a hurry
On their way to work or home?
Do they walk with a lover?
Do some walk sad and all alone?

Do some enjoy the falling rain
As I enjoy it so?
Or do some dislike the rain
And wish that it would go?

People under multi-colored umbrellas
Walking down the street of town.
I imagine every sort of person
Under these umbrellas can be found.

I would hope they all could smile
And be as content as me.
And know the peace God only can give
No matter what kind of day it be.
